Personal Data Protection Policy

Thank you for using our services and for visiting our website. We are STŘÍDA SPORT s.r.o. (Ltd.), ID No.: 252 51 741, with registered office at Čacké 1120, Zelené Předměstí, 530 02 Pardubice (hereinafter also "the Company") and the protection of personal data of all individuals is very important to us.

All our principles and basic information about data we may receive and that we process are set out in this policy. We hope you find time to carefully read this information, which is concerning your personal data processing and use.

This policy was created mainly to inform you what data and personal information we collect, how we handle them and what rights you have. Our Company is a business Company, but we still share some of our information on the internet, where we can also obtain some information about you. We have tried to write these terms and conditions of our Personal Protection Data Policy in a way that they would be comprehensible to everyone, but in case our efforts have not been successful and there is still something that is not completely clear to you, or if you have any questions regarding your personal data, please contact us at: info@stridasport.cz. We are ready to attend to you and answer your questions at any time.

1 Basic principles of personal data protection

Because the protection of personal data means a lot to us, we comply with all regulations concerning the protection of personal data. In addition, when processing personal data, we always make sure that we follow the basic principles set out in the European GDPR Regulation.
All personal data that our Company handles, always have to be processed in accordance with basic principles, i.e. they have to be:

  • processed fairly in accordance with the law and in a transparent manner, in a way that ensures the security of personal data,
  • collected in such a way that the purposes of their collection are specific, explicit and legitimate,
  • relevant, limited to the extent necessary in relation to the purpose and proportionate,
  • accurate and, if necessary, updated, inaccurate data must be deleted or corrected,
  • stored in a form that allows their identification only for the time necessary for the intended purpose,
  • protected in an appropriate manner that ensures that personal data are not processed in an unauthorized or illegal way, so they would not lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed.


2 What data do we collect about you?

2.1.1 Recruitment procedures

If you decide to join our Company as an employee and you send or provide to us your CV, we will keep it only for the given recruitment procedure until the position is filled. If you send your CV to us without specifying a position or a job opening for which you are applying, we will keep such CV for 6 months. If you are interested in having us keeping your CV longer, do not hesitate to provide us with this information in your e-mail, letter or directly in your CV.

Without your consent we would not provide any information from your CV to a third party.

2.1.2 Data processing based on law or an Agreement

If you are our business partner, client, customer or a person employed by any of the previous or otherwise cooperating with any of the previous, we may process your personal data because it is required by law or it is data that we ought to have in order to be able to process, close or execute the Agreement you have entered into with us. We process this data mainly in order to fulfill legal obligations or to ensure proper Company operation. These activities include, in particular, ensuring business communication and business negotiations of the Company, bookkeeping and billing for services, protection of our rights and enforcement of our claims, negotiations with public authorities, records of our business partners or customers, records of business cases, records of documentation for our products, etc. We keep this data only for as long as we need it. Given the extent of data processing based on law and the Agreement itself, it is not possible to summarize all data retention periods in a single document. However, our Company has special rules for archiving and disposal of data, which are summarized in an internal document. In order to process your e-shop order, we need the following information from you:

  • Invoicing data - for the correct completion of a tax document, which would be sent to you electronically after delivery of goods,
  • E-mail address – in line with our Company environmental protection policy, which main principle is saving natural resources, we send all our invoices/tax documents electronically. For this reason, it is necessary for us to know your e-mail address. Since the entire communication happens online, it is essential for the Agreement execution that the communication regarding each order is digital, so your e-mail address is necessary for us to process your order,
  • Telephone number - in regard to the fact that we would contact our contractual partner (who delivers goods at irregular intervals) to deliver your goods, and in order to facilitate communication with the transportation company and to possibly communicate information about the status of your order, we do need to know your telephone number.

We do not provide the data obtained during the execution of the Agreement to other persons besides our processors. We may also use your data for direct marketing (to a reasonable extend), which means that if you are our customer who has purchased goods from us, we may offer you similar goods again.

2.1.3 Customer registration

In order to speed up your purchase processing, you can register on our website. For your registration, we need all data that you put in when ordering goods, and we also need to know your username. Our registration serves mainly to make your purchases easier, therefore all personal data you provide to us would only be used to pre-fill your order when you order goods from us. This data is stored in the website database and is not provided to any third parties, except for our processors, who are involved in our website management.

2.1.4 E-mail newsletters

On our website you can subscribe to receiving newsletters via e-mail. If you agree to receive newsletters (you can do so when ordering goods), we will include you in the database of our readers. We would send you our newsletters until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe within each email you receive from us.
Our newsletters are sent through mailchimp.com program. Within the basic features of this program, raw data on your location and information on whether the sent newsletter has been read or not are also processed, outside of the data provided by you when you sign up for our Company's newsletter. This data is mainly used for our statistics and for the improvement of our services, so we can better serve your requirements.
We would not provide your data to any third parties, not even abroad.

2.1.5 Events we organize

While running our business, we would be happy to introduce you to our activities, our progress, products or employees at the events we organize.  Please note that during such events we do take photographs and video recordings. These would mainly capture the course of the event. We would take pictures and recordings of individual participants only if they agree with such. At the same time, we would like to inform you that we are currently a user of Facebook, Instagram and Youtube, so photos from such events may appear on these social networks. Such records would always be made by a person who is clearly marked and identified, so if you have a problem with these records, do not hesitate to contact this person not to make other individual records of you. This person is also always able to provide you with all the information he/she collects about you.

2.1.6 Technical data when visiting our website

Whenever you use websites or other internet services, there is certain information that is almost always created and recorded automatically. The same thing happens when you use our website. When you use our services, we obtain information which we than collect, store and protect.

  • Log data - when you use our services, our servers may automatically register information ("log data"), including information that your browser sends while you visit our website. This log data may contain your IP address, as well as the address of the visited website, the type and settings of the browser, the date and time of your presence on the website, the way you used cookies again, cookie data, etc.
  • Cookie data - depending on how you access our Company's website and services, we may use "cookies" (small text files sent by your computer each time you visit our website, unique to your account or browser) or similar data. When we use cookies, we may use so-called "session" cookies, which we process only until you close your browser, or so-called "permanent" cookies, which we process until you or your browser clears them. For example, we may use cookies to store your e-mail address or other settings, so that you would not have to fill them in each time you visit our website, etc.
  • Our Company or our business partners may use various technologies to collect and store information. Among other things, this information may include cookies or similar technologies to identify your browser or device. Thanks to these technologies we can collect and store information even if you use services provided by other entities, or Google features that may appear on other websites. Our Company may collect data capable of analyzing data obtained through Google Analytics software and possibly other third-party services, such as Facebook pixels and others. Our Company may also use similar third-party analytics services to display ads on the Google AdSense network. Data collected through Google Analytics is not personal data, because you cannot identify an individual through such data.
  • Device Information - in addition to the above, we may also collect information about the device which you use, including its type, the operating system, settings for this device or unique device identifiers. It all depends on the type of device you use and how it is set up. For example, we have various available information, depending on whether you use a PC or Mac, an Android phone, or an iPhone. To learn more about what information your device can make accessible, please also check the policies of the manufacturer or provider of your software.

3 What are your rights as a data subject?

As a data subject, you have rights concerning the protection and processing of your personal data by controllers and processors of personal data. Each entity can exercise these rights in compliance with legal requirements. These rights are regulated mainly in Chapter III of the GDPR Regulation, in Articles 15 to 23.

As a data subject, you are primarily entitled to exercise the following rights:

  • Right to access your personal data - you can get information and a confirmation from our Company whether we process certain personal data about your person. Upon your request we would also provide you with any additional information that may not be included in this document.
  • Right to rectification – with your cooperation, we always keep all your processed data updated and accurate - therefore do not hesitate to contact us in the event of any changes to your personal data.
  • Right of erasure - if you believe all legal requirements for erasure have been met, please do not hesitate to contact us. However, we can never erasure data that we process by law or that is necessary for us.
  • Right to restrict processing - if you believe that we should restrict processing of personal data and that you comply with all legal requirements to exercise this right, please do not hesitate to contact us.
  • Right to object – if we process your personal data based on the fulfillment of our legitimate interests, you may file an objection to such processing. You will be informed about the processing of the application and the evaluation of your objection.
  • Right to withdraw consent - where you have given our Company consent to the processing of personal data, you can withdraw this consent at any time.

If you are not satisfied with our activities, please contact the authorized person at the above address. However, you still have the right to contact the Office for Personal Data Protection directly, where you can file a complaint.
